Spinach Pie with Cheese Recipe

Spinach Pie with Cheese Recipe is a perfect dish for spinach lovers, very easy to prepare. You can prepare it for vegetarians dishes or for appetizer, as well. Decorate with some cherry tomatoes as you serve it sliced into individual plates

250g - fontina / ricotta cheese

1/2 - cup milk

3 - teaspoons cream

6 - eggs

800g - spinach

1 - celery

40g - butter

- butter for pie dish

- salt and pepper

- cherry tomatoes to decorate


Chop fontina into small cubes, incorporate eggs, milk, cream, some ground pepper and mix well all the ingredients with a fork. Brush with melted butter 4 individual pie dishes, or a unique pie dish. Place fontina cheese mixture into each pie dish and cook in the preheated oven (140 Degrees C) for about 40 minutes, or until pie results beautifully golden. As cheese pie bake, prepare spinach. Clean, wash over cool water , drain and place spinach into a large frying pan over medium heat with the remaining butter. Cook for 2- 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and set aside. Clean, wash and chop celery into small cubes. Boil into a pot with salted water for 5-7 minutes. Drain in a colander. Remove Cheese pie from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Place spinach and celery into a serving plate. Remove pies from pie dishes and put over spinach. Serve Spinach Pie with Cheese warm accompanied with a white wine.
