Mediterranean Tuna Recipe

Tuna is one of the most useful sea products, because it does not requires a lot of time to cook, and is full of Omega 3. It can be cook into many many versions: just natural with some olive oil and lemon juice, it could be one of the most important pasta ingredients, it could be cooked with vegetables, various fresh salads, with herbs and species, as well. Mediterranean Tuna recipe is one of the most fast and successful versions.

800g - tuna

1 - laurel leaf

2 - thyme bunches

1 - rosemary bunch

1 - large onion

1 - garlic clove

1 - lemon

200g - can diced tomato sauce

6 - oiled

6 - tablespoons white wine1

1 - tablespoon capers

1 - tablespoon fresh minced parsley

6 - tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

- salt and peper to taste


Place tuna into a large bowl, add half of the oil, rosemary, thyme, laurel, lemon juice and zest, too. Season with salt and pepper.  Let tuna marinate for 2 hours, in the fridge, COVERED. Passing marinating time, heat the remaining oil into a pressure cooker, add the marinated tuna, and cook on all sides. Add the chopped onion, garlic( peeled and minced), diced tomatoes sauce, anchovy fillets, and wine. Season with salt and pepper and cover the pressure cooker. Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Add the chopped capers, parsley and cook for 2-3 minutes without covering. Remove tuna and the sauce created from pressure cooker and place it in a serving plate. WINE: a white one.
