Balsamic Vinegar Beef Marinade Recipe


Balsamic Vinegar Beef Marinade Recipe is a delicious second dish, made with beef, balsamic vinegar, shallots and baby potatoes. This is a quick, easy and healthy recipe, because it is cooked covered with aluminum foil, and reserve all ingredients vitamins. Marination gives it a yummy taste, and the accompaniment with a Red Wine is fantastic!

INGREDIENTS


800g - beef shoulder or leg

200g - shallot

300g - small baby patatoes

1 - tablespoon red wine balsamic vinegar

1 - tablespoon white wine vinegar

6 - tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

- salt and pepper to taste


DIRECTIONS


Tie the beef shoulder with kitchen string. In a bowl mix together the two kinds of balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Place the meat into a large aluminum foil, pour in the balsamic vinegar marinade, cover very well and let marinate for 2 hours in the fridge. As beef marinate prepare the other ingredients. Clean and boil shallots in abundant salted water for 10 minutes. Drain in a colander and set aside. Then apart boil the small baby potatoes, washed but not peeled into boiled salted water for 10 minutes. Drain potatoes and set aside. After 2 hours of marination of the beef remove it from the aluminum foil and brown for some minutes into a large pan over high heat, with 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil. Preheat oven to 220 Degrees C. Remove beef from pan and replace it into the foil, together with the boiled shallots and baby potatoes. Season all the ingredients with salt and pepper, sprinkle with the remaining olive oil and close well the aluminum foil. Place the meat into a baking dish and bake for about 25-30 minutes. Once baked, remove from oven, allow to rest for 10 minutes and serve immediately.
