Pasta with Mushrooms Recipe

Looking for a simple and tasty dried pasta recipe? Try this Pasta with Mushrooms Recipe, very tasty thanks to the flavor of mushrooms, which are sautéed with cubed smoked bacon and olive oil before being added to the drained spaghetti al dente.

500g - long pasta ( spaghetti, linguine, bucatini, etj)

500g - mushrooms

200g - diced smoked bacon

1 - onion, finely chopped

2 - garlic cloves, finely minced

1 - cup fresh chopped tomatoes, or tomato sauce

1/4 - cup fresh minced parsley

- chilli pepper or ground black pepper ( optional )

3/4 - cup extra virgin olive oil

- salt to taste


Clean very carefully the mushrooms and chop. Place a large saucepan over medium heat and pour the oil. Heat the oil, add the onion, brown for some minutes, until lightly golden, add the garlic cloves, chili pepper (optional) and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add the diced smoked bacon, brown just for 3-4 minutes, until lightly brown. Add the chopped mushrooms (high heat), cook for 6-7 minutes and at last add the chopped tomatoes, the parsley and basil. Season with salt and cook for about 20 minutes. As you prepare the mushrooms sauce, place a pot with abundant salted water (like the seawater) over high heat and bring to a boil. When the water boils, add the pasta and cook for 6-7 minutes, or AL DENTE if you prefer. Drain and incorporate with the sauce, mixing carefully. Continue cooking over hight heat for about 2 minutes and remove from fire. Transfer pasta with mushrooms into individual plates and serve right away.
