Easy English Trifle Recipe

Take and learn e new, fresh Easy English Recipe from This dessert is prepared with savoiardi biscuits, but you can use sponge cake if you prepare, custard cream (to see this recipe click here: Custard Recipe), alchermes liquor, cacao, and dark chocolate. Is really elegant in its presentation, but not only: it is really yummy. This trifle dessert has the advantage to be prepared in advance, need to refrigerate.

200g - savoiardi biscuits (boudoir biscuits) or sponge cake layers

150ml - Alchermes liquor

450ml - custard

10g - custard bitter cacao

- melted dark chocolate to decorate and chocolate drops


DIRECTIONS After preparing custard as shown in its recipe directions , begin to prepare Alchermes liquor in this way: Place a medium pot over medium heat, pour in 100ml water, 1 tablespoon white sugar and add the liquor. Let cook until sugar is melted and remove from fire. Allow the liquor mixture to cool, and begin to soak each biscuit into the alchermes liquor. Take a glass baking dish, and begin to form one biscuits layer, one fresh custard layer, another savoiardi biscuits layer, and continue to make 3-4 layer, until you finish with the last layer: biscuits and custard layer. Spread all over the surface the bitter cacao and the melted dark chocolate. Decorate with some dark chocolate drops. Place the trifle in the fridge to refrigerate foe at least 4 hours before servings. You can decorate it with fresh fruits if you prefer, this recipe is just one of the many versions of english trifle recipe.
