Mini Pizza with Mussels Recipe


Mini Pizza with Mussels Recipe is a bread recipe topped with tomato sauce and mussels, really healthy for you and your children. In this case pizza is baked in the oven, but you can bake on the grill, pan, stone, etc, the result is always tasty and healthy.

INGREDIENTS


400g - pizza crust

500g - mussels

300g - tomatoe sauce

1 - garlic clove

1 - onion, chopped

1 - tablespoon freshly minced parsley

1 - tablespoon freshly minced origan

1/2 - cup white wine

6 - tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

- salt and ground black pepper


DIRECTIONS


Clean, wash the mussels and place them in a large pan. Put the garlic clove, 1 tablespoon olive oil, the minced parsley, the wine and cover the pan. Cook till the mussels are opened( throw away the mussels which are closed) remove the pan from fire and pod the mussels. Place another frying pan over medium heat, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil and brown the chopped onion, add the tomatoe sauce, salt, pepper and cook for about 15 minutes, mixing carefully till the sauce became quite thick. Spread out the dough into as many small disks as you can( about 5 cm diameter). Lightly grease a paper sheet, put it in a large hob and place the dough disks on it. Spread the sauce you prepared on each mini pizza. Sprinkle with the minced oregan, the remaining olive oil and bake on a preheated 190 degrees C oven for about 30 minutes. Remove from fire, top each minni pizza with 2 mussels and bake for other 3 min. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
