Lemon Fried Squid Recipe

This Lemon Fried Squid Recipe is perfect for summer days, because is simple and really easy to prepare, does not require a lot of time and so many ingredients. There's necessary to have just some squids, lemon, breadcrumbs, olive oil and 1 small chilli pepper

COOK: 10-15 min




400g - cleaned squid, cut into 1cm rings

1/2 - lemon, halved, thinly sliced

3 - tablespoons bread crumbs

1 - garlic clove

1 - small chilli pepper

1/2 - glass white wine oil for frying

- salt to taste

- freshly minced parsley


Place a frying pan with oil (2-3 tablespoons) over medium heat. Add the small chilli pepper, garlic clove and cook just for one minute. Eliminate both of them, and pour in the aromatic oil the bread crumbs, let them cook cook for 2 minutes, or until lightly golden. Place another deep frying pan with oil (enough to come 1/3 of the way up the side) over high heat until shimmering, add the squid, lemon slices and cook until squid becomes lightly brown. Spread with salt as necessary, eliminate lemon slices, and pour in the wine. Cook until wine evaporates, remove squid from pan, and drain on paper towels. Place the fried squid into a serving platter, decorate with the browned lemon slices, or just fresh lemon slices if you prefer, or squeeze over some lemon juice. At the end sprinkle with the flavored bread crumbs. Serve immediately with some white wine and a fresh green salad.
