Neapoletan Crostini Recipe

Neapoletan Crostini Recipe is a so easy and simple recipe to prepare during all the seasons of the year, especially on these hot summer days. They are prepared just with fresh tomatoes, cut into strips, mozzarella cheese, anchovy fillets, herbs and extra virgin olive oil. Simple - Easy - tasty.

16 - small slices crusty bread

125g - butter

250g - mozzarella cheese, shredded

3 - large ripe tomatoes

6 - salt-packed anchovy fillets, minced

1 - teaspoon dried oregano

- salt and pepper to taste


Preheat the broiler. Spread all the butter over each slice of bread and cut them half. Top each with the mozzarella and tomatoes shredded pieces. Top with the anchovy fillets, season with salt and pepper and spread oregano on each of them. Place the slices of bread on a baking sheet and toast under the broiler for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is lightly golden. When ready, remove from ove, transfer to a serving plate and serve immediately.
